Communications/Community Relations: Photography

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with director and front office staff to identify photography needs
  • Assign projects to freelance photographers and keep track of the deadlines
  • Process invoices from freelance photographers
  • Review photos, edit and make necessary changes
  • Ensure all assignments are shot and edited on time for socials media and publication use
  • Edit photos to achieve highest quality using the appropriate tools
  • Liaise with Rangers staff, freelance photographers and advise on future projects
  • Stay up to date with new image editing technologies
  • Fulfill internal and external photo requests
  • Collaborate with our archival partner, HeritageWerks on daily uploads

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a photo editor, preferably in sports photography.
  • Solid experience with digital technology and photo editing software packages including Adobe CC, Photoshop, LightRoom, and Photo Mechanic.
  • Strong photo editing skills and excellent portfolio.
  • Ability to multitask without compromising attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of photographic techniques, studio management, contrast and color correction.
  • Creative mind with an eye for detail and storytelling skills.
  • Time-management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with creatives and non-creatives alike.
  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, journalism or related field.

Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
