JOB SUMMARY: The Creative Director will lead our creative team which includes Graphic Design, Advertising, Digital Content (social media and web) and Creative Strategy.  This role will also be involved in the Ballpark Entertainment creative process, helping to deliver a seamless brand presentation in and out of the ballpark.  
  • Leading the creative team and designing the creative path forward for the brand.  This includes directly managing a cross functional creative team as well as collaborating with other departments that produce creative for the organization.
  • Overseeing all creative elements and processes that come out of the Marketing Department.  
  • Working directly with the VP, Marketing to build out a creative strategy and brand identity for the team that sets us apart from other organizations as we move into Globe Life Field in 2020.  
  • Leading the creative and brand strategy development for Globe Life Park and then bringing that vision to life throughout the new building.
  • Build, maintain and evolve the creative organizational structure to meet the needs of the business.
  • Training and mentoring the creative team.  
  • Collaborating with the analytics team, the Marketing Director and VP on fielding and analyzing the results of consumer research and turning them into actionable results.  
  • Translating strategic, creative and marketing insights into assets that drive fan engagement and improve brand health.  
  • Strengthening and expanding our Multicultural marketing strategy and presence.  
  • Ensuring that the consumer journey is consistent and clear from our advertising though our social/digital content and into the ballpark.  
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure that deliverables are being met with the highest quality.
  • The ability to provide clear creative, strategic and art direction to the creative team.  This includes approval and/or drafting of creative briefs for both internal and external creative resources.  
  • Graphic Design experience is not a requirement, but this person will bring strong art direction skills and a proven eye for design.  The ability to work within the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Proactive thinker who is always looking for ways to evolve and elevate the brand. 
  • Ability to wear many hats at all levels.  The job requires the flexibility and versatility to think at the 30K foot level while also getting into the detailed execution of the work.
  • Setting the process and the standards that will ensure the creative produced is of the highest quality and is consistent with our brand identity and tone.
  • Working closely with the social media team to establish a clear identity and tone for the brand across our social channels.  
  • Establish a creative and collaborative culture within the creative team.  
·         Minimum of 10 years experience leading the development and execution of successful creative and digital programs.
·         Proven track record in brand marketing.
·         Sports marketing experience is a plus.
·         Strong copywriting skills.
·         Experience working on Multicultural programs is a plus.
·         Experience in managing agency resources (either at an agency or as a client).
·         Strong communication and presentation skills.  Must be able to effectively present creative and strategic work to senior level teams within the organization.  
·         Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
·         Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when the game schedule and workload requires.
·         Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
·         Experience in understanding market research and marketing strategy and the ability to articulate and translate that into an actionable creative strategy.
