Description
A trainee with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos will learn in an organization and environment that is widely recognized as one of the best in minor league baseball. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are a Double A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins and have won multiple awards from MiLB since 2012, including Organization of the Year, Ballpark of the Year, Executive of the Year, Women of Excellence, and more. The Blue Wahoos aim to provide each trainee with valuable learning and working experience while earning college internship credit to satisfy their degree requirements.
Essential Duties
· Job fairs: Assist the HR Coordinator with planning, executing, and evaluating the success of seasonal baseball mass hiring events.
· Recruiting activities: Monitor candidates, screen resumes, schedule interviews, conduct phone screens/level 1 interviews, and assist in managing the applicant tracking system.
· Onboarding: Assist with new hire paperwork, track new hire progress through onboarding steps, assist with coordination of game day orientation.
· Annual reviews: Assist the HR Coordinator with preparation of materials for the SFOC’s End-of-Year Conversations to be held in February.
· Professional development: Utilize all learning and development tools and opportunities offered by the Studer Family of Companies. Attend any networking events as they arise/become available. Conduct yourself as a young leader in development and seek to learn at every level.
· HR Assistance: Assist the HR Coordinator with routine departmental tasks, such as audits, employee recognition and celebration programs, etc.
· Compliance: Gain a fundamental understanding of all relevant federal employment laws, their governing bodies, and how laws are enforced.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
· Must be currently seeking a degree from an accredited university, or have graduated with a degree within the last semester, in the field of Human Resources, Business Management, or another related field
· Previous customer service experience required
· Previous experience in Canva a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements

The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift up to 20 lbs, and use standard office equipment such as computers.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a seasonal, part-time, non-exempt role. Applicants can expect to work between 20 and 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, but special events such as job fairs may require some weekend work. This role is available from January to late April / early May.
