Mississippi Braves: Media Relations and Broadcasting Assistant 

The Mississippi Braves are looking for a hardworking, dedicated, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and talented person to work and grow within our organization. This individual will work closely with the Director of Communications and with the full-time staff to learn and execute the other facets of operating a Minor League Baseball team.

This is a seasonal position from March through September.

Responsibilities:
* Host pregame and postgame show on 103.9 WYAB, conduct pregame interviews, and handle three innings of play-by-play on all 70 home broadcasts, with additional opportunities commensurate to work performed during the season. (Possibly in-studio for road games for production work)
 * Help enhance the Braves’ audio presence through podcasts, live-streamed interviews, audio recaps, etc.
 * Assist with daily media relations tasks (including writing game and feature stories and press releases, creating stat packs and game notes, updating the M-Braves’ website, etc.).
 * Contribute to the M-Braves Media Guide and GameDay Program with player and community content.
 *Contribute to the M-Braves MiLB.tv broadcast production.
 * Provide assistance with marketing requirements, including graphics, social media and video content.
 * Assist in other areas of gameday and non-gameday stadium event operations as needed, including sales calls, wearing the mascot suit as required, cleaning the stadium, pulling tarp, planning promotions, etc.

Requirements:
* Strong character as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 * Must have at least one year of broadcast experience and possess strong baseball knowledge (preference given to those with MiLB broadcast experience).
 * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
 * Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Premiere, and MiLB Forge is strongly preferred
 * Must be willing to make phone calls and sell (You may be asked to try and sell single-game tickets).
 * Must be available for the entirety of the 2023 season (March through September)
 * Must be willing to work long hours
 * Must be a self-starter who is willing and able to work efficiently without constant supervision
 * Must be able to interact with all other areas of the organization
 * Must be willing to work all positions or any other task when asked by any full-time staff member
 * Must be responsible for all equipment when in use
