INTERN, TICKET OFFICE
Job Title: Intern, Ticket Office
Reports To:  Box Office Manager
Department:  Tickets
Employee Type: Seasonal
Status Type: Full-Time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Compensation: Hourly rate 
Rate Range: $7.25/hour
Job Summary:

Essential Functions:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Ticket Intern to provide support to our management team excellent customer service to our patrons.  A Ticket Intern assists the Box Office Manager and Ticket Sales Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Ticket Office. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: 
-Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance  
-Ability to work in a high paced environment
-Electronic and computer proficiency
-Excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness
-High attention to detail 
-Strong communication and problem solving skills 
Duties:
-Accepts payment and makes change
-Actively seek new clients and maintain working relationships
-Answers questions concerning game times, game delays or rainchecks
-Assigning new season ticket locations 
-Assist in creating routines for promotional entertainment
-Assisting in overseeing both Regions Field ticket offices during all events
-Assisting the group sales department daily
-Assisting with tarp pulls when necessary
-Block off streets
-Distribute promotional items designed to help increase fan spirit and attendance at games
-Delivering pocket schedules
-Fill reservations for seats by telephone
-Filling group ticket orders for picnics, group tickets, birthdays and team parties, special events, and more
-Interact with fans before, during and after the games
-Keeping upbeat atmosphere before, during and after games
-Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold
-Maintain mascot costume
-Mascoting - fan entertainment
-Occasional mascot/player appearances, participation in promotions including on-field activities and enter/exit gate sampling, and distribution of marketing material
-Organizing season ticket holder events such as picnics, batting practice, etc.
-Other duties as assigned
-Perform as mascot at home games as needed
-Perform as mascot in community events around the Birmingham region as scheduled
-Perform as mascot in community events around the Birmingham region as scheduled
-Perform on the dugout during the 7th inning stretch
-Personally interact with fans and patrons you encounter
-Personally interact with fans and patrons you encounter
-Representing organization in the community
-Sells tickets for admission from box office and be designated Cashier, Box Office
-Servicing new and existing season ticket holders
-Taking and filling single game ticket orders (phone, internet and walk-up)
Qualifications:
-Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
-Ability to work effectively in a team environment
-Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
-Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
-Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
-Some heavy lifting is required
-Ticket and money handling experience is a plus but not required
General Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift 25 lbs up to 50 lbs 
-Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game 
-Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
-Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
