ASSISTANT GROUNDSKEEPER
Job Title: Assistant Groundskeeper
Reports To: Head Groundskeeper
Department: Operations
Employee Type: Seasonal
Status Type:  Part-Time
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Compensation: Hourly rate 
Rate Range: $9.00 - $11.00/hour

Essential Functions:
We are looking for enthusiastic assistant groundskeeper to assist with maintaining the highest standards of excellence for playing surfaces and surrounding areas at Regions Field.  
 
Responsibilities: 
§  Maintaining the highest standards of quality and cleanliness
§  Strong communication and problem solving skills 
§  High attention to detail 
§  Ability to work in a high paced environment
§  Electronic and computer proficiency
§  Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance  
 
Duties:
§  Maintenance of all skinned areas, bullpens, warning track, both common and field grass
§  Assist with granular and foliar nutrient applications, as well as pesticides
§  Prepare field for batting practice, tear down and pre/post game duties
§  Schedule game day staff and manage assigned duties
§  Preform cultural practices to field such as: aerification, verti-cutting, and top dressing 
§  Help with Stadium Operations duties as needed, including but not limited to, maintenance of assigned stadium equipment 
 
Qualifications:
§  Candidate must be hard working, self-motivated, and able to work in a variety of weather extremes
§  Prefer but not required to have or working towards a 2/4year Turf Management Degree
§  Able to hustle around the stadium, lift 50lbs repetitively, and stand for long periods of time
§  Must keep a professional appearance and act accordingly around professional athletes 
 
General Physical Requirements:
§  Ability to lift 25lbs up to 50lbs 
§  Ability to stand for up to 5+ hours during a game 
§  Ability to work long hours, weekends & holidays
§  Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including but not limited to rain and heat
§  Ability to maintain the highest standards of food safety, food quality and cleanliness
