The Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, are searching for a Media Relations and Broadcasting Assistant for the 2026 season.
Supervisor: Javik Blake, Media Relations Manager and Broadcaster
Start date: March 1, 2026
End date: End of the season (late-September)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
DUTIES:
- 3 innings (3-4, 7) of play-by-play for all home games and select road games
- Up to 2 pregame interviews a series at home
- Assist with game notes, roster updates, press releases, stat packs, game recaps, etc.
- Create supplemental bios for players not included in the Media Guide
- Assist with social media graphics and highlights
- Create lineup sheets while at home
- Write a monthly feature story for the program
- On-field postgame interviews at home after wins
- Assist with website updates and design
- Assist in editing and producing audio elements, including highlights, interviews, commercials & radio imaging
- Assist with fulfillment of media requests
- Assist with bringing up any broadcast guests, including corporate partners, Junior Broadcasters, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be willing to work with the entire front office to assist in the day-to-day operation of the Shuckers
- Previous baseball play-by-play and media relations experience at the collegiate, independent or affiliated level
- Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Possess strong writing and verbal skills
- Be willing to learn, work hard, handle multiple projects at once and maintain a good attitude
