Job Title: Sales Account Executive
Summary: The Hagerstown Suns are looking for a passionate and hardworking individual who is looking to begin a full-time career in sports sales. Our entry level Sales Account Executive position is designed for someone who wants to gain first-hand experience at a Minor League Baseball team and excel in sports sales. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales. This person should be an outgoing energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self-starter with strong sales and relationship skills. This position will prospect, cold call, and sell group tickets, season tickets, and single game tickets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Identify group, season, and single game ticket sales
  • Responsible for all the set-up of all group areas
  • Ensure groups and ticket holders are serviced
  • Help maintain and oversee all group areas
  • Processing and fulfilling single game ticket orders
  • Database collection, input into spreadsheets
  • Responsible for reporting daily and monthly sales reports
  • Supervise assigned personnel, hire, terminate, discipline, evaluate performance and develop each employee to his/her potential
  • Assist in the development of programs that result in increased customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are in effect at all times.
  • Participate in sales training sessions
  • Help with the preparation and execution of sales events and season ticket initiatives
  • Assist in mailing and fulfillment
  • Assist leadership team, sales team members, and other departments as needed
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, sales experience preferred
  • Excellent, proven cold calling skills
  • High level of integrity
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience working with a ticket system
  • Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
  • Some knowledge of a CRM system
  • Strong team work skills as well as the ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work all 70+ home games
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
