Player Operations: Equipment Manager
The Charleston RiverDogs of the Low-A East League are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and hard-working individual to fill the position of Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the 2022 season. The Visiting Clubhouse Manager for the Charleston RiverDogs will be responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and hospitality operations of the Visiting Clubhouse. This is a seasonal position to begin in March and last through September, with exact ending date dependent upon playoffs.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Laundering all uniforms, personals, and towels
  • Shopping for/purchasing/preparing food and drink for pre-game snacks and spreads
  • Coordinating with visiting staff to provide post-game meals, per Clubhouse Guidelines set forth by Major League Baseball, and within the budget provided by the Operations Manager
  • Maintaining inventory of groceries, cookware, dugout supplies, restroom/shower supplies, and clubhouse furniture
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of entire Clubhouse, including Umpire Room, Coach’s Office, Dressing Areas, Restrooms, Showers, Training Room, and Storage Areas
  • Preparing Visiting Dugout and Bullpen prior to and following team workouts/Batting Practice
  • Supervising batboys at the discretion of the Home Clubhouse Manager
  • Availability to assist visiting players and staff with additional requests in an effort to earn tips

Qualification:
  • Previous experience in clubhouse management or related field preferred, but not required
  • Experience working within a budget and projecting expenses preferred, but not required
  • Ability to adhere to clubhouse policies, per the Operations Manager and Major League Baseball
  • Experience in health guidelines in regard to hygiene and food prep preferred, but not required
Requirements:
  • Willingness and ability to work long hours. This includes early mornings, late nights, weekends, and/or holidays throughout the duration of the baseball season
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced professional sports environment
  • Ability to interact professionally with Front Office staff, players, and coaches
  • Ability to arrange personal housing and transportation at own expense
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather, including rain and heat
