The Organization
The RiverDogs are nationally recognized as one of the top organizations in professional sports, gaining notoriety for unique promotions, outrageous food and beverage items, and excellent customer service. The RiverDogs strive to provide a diverse fanbase with a memorable and highly entertaining experience at each of its 66 home games and many other events at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in downtown Charleston.

The RiverDogs offer several full-time internships, which start in mid-March and go through the end of August. These are unpaid positions, which can be completed for college credit. These internships are designed to provide interns with insight into the entire scope of a minor league baseball operation.

The Charleston RiverDogs are looking for creative and motivated promo/marketing interns for the 2022 season. Interns will assist the RiverDogs creative department in all aspects of entertainment including promotional brainstorms, promotional execution, marketing plan, and all things contributing to the RiverDogs brand and ballpark atmosphere. 
 
During this full-time internship, interns will become well versed in planning promotional/theme nights and the in-game fan experience. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • help plan and execute content creation and help grow the RiverDogs social media presence
  • assist with marketing planning and execution (email, social media, influencer, and street team marketing)
  • coordinating pregame and in-game on-field events and promotions
  • manage and book national anthem singers, vendors, and entertainers
  • assist in gameday script writing and rundown planning
  • be available as a mascot handler for games and community events
  • assist in set-up and break-down of concourse tables, displays, and interactive touchpoints
  • be a flexible team player ready to wear many different hats
