Position: Group Sales Account Executive
Department: Ticket Sales

Wichita Wind Surge is AAA Minor League Baseball Team starting play in April of 2020 in a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium in Wichita, KS.  Wichita Wind Surge is part of the Pacific Coast League.  In this fast paced and fun office culture, we are looking for future sales and marketing leaders who want to be a part of something special. A Group Sales Account Executive with Wichita Wind Surge will sell group outings, party areas, premium seating, as well as season tickets and more.  We expect our Account Executives to assist in generating new ideas to increase ticket sales while pursuing prospects in the Wichita market. The Account Executive will sell and service new and existing accounts, generate new ideas to increase ticket sales, and execute basic office tasks as needed.
  • Responsible for maximizing revenue through sales of group tickets, party areas, premium seating as well as ticket packages including season tickets and partial plans
  • Make required amount outbound calls daily from provided lists and self-prospecting
  • Prospect potential clients through daily phone calls and email leads
  • Prospect and research new sales leads
  • Proactively work to create new revenue opportunities
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly ticket sales goals
  • Handle incoming calls from sales prospects and existing clients
  • Utilize ticketing software and CRM database to manage customer accounts
  • Conduct in-Stadium appointments/tours to support in closing new business
  • Work games and other outside events to support ticket sales initiatives
  • Provide excellent service through phone calls, emails, written communication and in-person visits in the office and special events 
  • Attend weekly sales and staff meetings and special events as required
  • Typical non-game day office hours of 9am to 5pm unless otherwise specified by the General Manager
  • Game day and nights required as well as some special events
  • Tarp Pulls
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
  • 3-4 years of prior ticket sales experience in sports/entertainment is preferred
  • Familiarity with TDC and Score CRM preferred
  • Aggressive, competitive and committed to growing the sports industry
  • Highly motivated with a desire to make this a lifestyle and be successful
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours
  • Passion for a growth-oriented career in sales
  • Someone who leads by example in the office
  • Detail-oriented and organized; ability to handle several projects at once
  • Any experience working for a team, athletic department or event is beneficial
  • This is a full-time staff position
  • Salary based on experience; plus commission on sales
