Summary
The Sugar Land Skeeters are currently looking for individuals with strong baseball knowledge to work select home games at Constellation Field during the 2021 season. The 60-game home season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 20th and concludes on Tuesday, September 21st.

  • The Field Timing Coordinator (FTC) is responsible for operating the pitch clock which determines the amount of time a pitcher can take between pitches/plays.
  • The FTC is expected to meet with the umpiring crew before and after each game to discuss umpiring tendencies, signals and evaluate the FTC's role.
  • The FTC is to accurately operate the stadium pitch clock in accordance with league rules.

Essential Functions of the Job
  • Operate the pitch clock in accordance with official league field timing rules
  • Submit electronic report of field timing info and violations after every game
  • Check in with umpires before and after each game to ensure proper timing

Education & Experience Required
  • Familiarity with the official Field Timing rules and policies
  • Strong knowledge of baseball
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to focus consistently for multiple hours at a time
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Standard comfort with basic technology
