Summary:
The Marketing & Events Team Leader is responsible for directing creation and implementation of promotional and marketing campaigns and execution of events and promotions for Union Omaha (USL ) and Omaha Storm Chasers (MiLB).
Responsibilities:  
  • Manage and be accountable for assigned budgets 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned departments
  • Lead and assist staff in creation and execution of strategic plans for all promotions, events, and community initiatives
  • Manage creation, scheduling and accountability of all internally and externally produced content including but not limited to static, video, print, media
  • Collaborate with sales department in creation and execution of sponsorships 
  • Develop and manage relationships with media partners (radio/television/outdoor media/social media) 
  • Manage vendor relationships with outside agencies
  • Align the efforts of the marketing, advertising, and social media activities to the overall goals of both organizations
  • Manage customer data collection and utilization techniques along with outside vendors
  • Proactively research trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to stay on the forefront of new media 
  • Implement new ideas and adapt best industry practices to improve atmosphere at Werner Park
  • Network and build relationships in Omaha and the surrounding region
  • Represent the organization at in-house ballpark events and off-site community events promoting organization
  • Work with the front office team to achieve the objectives of the advertising sales, marketing, tickets and community relations departments
  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of prior management and leadership experience preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in promotions and marketing
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software for editing and creation of graphics preferred
  • Ability to schedule/execute marketing content across all platforms
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and database programs
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business
  • Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
