The Corporate Sales Team Member is responsible for generating new business by selling corporate sponsorships, promotions, advertising, facility rentals and tickets for the Omaha Storm Chasers (MiLB) and Union Omaha (USL). This position is also responsible for building relationships with current clients and renewal of existing agreements.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals
  • Research, develop and manage a list of potential new partners 
  • Build and foster relationships with past, current and potential new clients
  • Network and build relationships in Omaha and the surrounding region
  • Make sales calls to area organizations and follow up as necessary
  • Create and develop comprehensive proposals and presentations to meet clients’ objectives
  • Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers
  • Set appointments, show seats, and give facility tours with the intent to close business
  • Represent the organizations at in-house facility events and off-site community events promoting ticket sales and the organization
  • Maintain records of all customers and prospects by utilizing CRM tool in real time
  • Coordinate with other departments to organize and implement large/group theme nights
  • Work with the front office team to achieve the objectives of the advertising sales, marketing, tickets and community relations departments
  • Collaborate and interact with front office team to implement sponsorships and contract fulfillment
  • Provide excellent customer service and care to all customers and prospects
  • Other duties may be assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Business or related field preferred
  • Experience working in sales for professional or collegiate sports is HIGHLY preferred
  • At least three years of prior sales experience preferred
  • At least two years of experience negotiating contracts preferred
  • Ability to present sales material to potential clients
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  •  Ability to solve problems quickly
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and database programs
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business
  • Ability and willingness to work varied and long hours including nights, weekends and holidays
