JOB TITLE: Fundamentals Coach
DEPARTMENT: Player Development

The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a full-time Fundamentals Coach for the 2022 Major League Baseball Championship season.  This position will be responsible for assisting the manager, hitting, and pitching coaches at their assigned affiliate with daily player development duties.
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
  •   Collaborate with manager to design and execute daily practice plans
  •   Collaborate with development coach to manage individual player plans
  •   Collaborate with development coach to create advanced scouting reports
  •   Assist manager, hitting, pitching, and fourth coach in daily on-field practice
  •   Collaborate with development coach to work with players to understand the data and technology being used
  •   Will work out of Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, FL during spring training
  •   Will work out of the affiliate and travel with the team for all games during the season
  •   Comfortable working with players and coaches on and off the field
  •   Ability to throw batting practice, hit fungoes, and coach 1st or 3rd base
  •   Expertise or knowledge of coaching infield, outfield, or catching defense
  •   Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and a growth mindset
  •   Spanish proficiency
  •   Professional playing or coaching experience
  •   The ability to throw quality batting practice on a daily basis.
