 JOB TITLE: Coordinator, Minor League Operations
DEPARTMENT: Player Development

The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a full time Coordinator of Minor League Operations for the 2022 Major League Baseball Championship season.  This position will assist the Director of Minor League Operations and Director of Player Development with the administration and travel needs of the Player Development Department.
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate Travel Logistics and arrangements for staff and players to Spring Training, In-season players moves, Medical travel, Roving Instructors travel, Arizona Fall League and off-season programs.
  • Manage staff and player travel reimbursements and payments
  • Book Flights, Hotels and Rental cars to meet department needs.
  • Manage MLB Ebis Player record keeping system regarding Contracts, Salary Addendums, and entering daily roster transactions and Injury List Placements
  • Prepare Player & Staff Contracts and assist with HR on-boarding and paperwork.
  • Coordinate Player Payroll with Accounting department and bi-weekly distribution of checks to the affiliate clubs.
  • Coordinate Player Signing Bonus and Incentive Bonus Plan Payments with Accounting Department.
  •  Maintain accurate player records and contact information.
  • Work with the Amateur Scouting Department to coordinate new draftee Player Contracts, and reporting to Baltimore and Sarasota for physicals and onboarding.
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute minor league player & staff contact information lists.
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute composite game schedule for all Orioles affiliates.
  • Distribute MLB Memos / Rules and Orioles Club policies and communications to all players and staff as needed.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation in the areas of your responsibility.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Education, Medical, Strength & Conditioning, Scouting, International, etc) regarding assistance with player needs and outcomes.
  • Ability to assist all players but especially our International players with life skills, routine questions and general needs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Management or related field
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and a growth mindset
  • Strong verbal and writing skills in English (Spanish preferred)
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to work irregular hours to meet the needs of the players and staff.
  • Experience working with individuals from differing cultural backgrounds and lifestyles.
  • Spanish Proficiency
  • General knowledge and understanding of professional baseball.
Location and Hours:
  • Primary work location in Baltimore, Maryland at Camden Yards.
  • Availability to travel and work in Sarasota, Florida for spring training and during other training camps.
  • Flexible daily schedule and availability to work nights and weekends as needed during the baseball season.
