Assistant General Manager - Marketing

Big Top Baseball, the premiere summer collegiate baseball ownership group, is looking to hire an Assistant General Manager – Marketing responsible for the service of Kenosha Kingfish advertising corporate clients, execution of sponsor contracts and all external and internal marketing.  This is a full-time position based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. 
The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and a strong writer, who can take initiative and develop their own creative ideas for new or existing projects. This individual should be motivated about being a member of the team that creates a world class fan-experience at Historic Simmons Field. The ability to complete projects independently and creatively is extremely important for this position. 
1. Partnership Activation
– This position will service, implement and execute contracts for the Kenosha Kingfish Club and Big Top Sports & Entertainment corporate clients.
a)     Tasks include generating recaps, proposals, contracts, and executing all elements of the advertising package including promotional items and booking tickets/ hospitality dates 
b)     Maintaining relationships with sponsors and managing several accounts
c)      Oversee all game day entertainment including on-field performances, giveaways, and anything else in relation to sponsorship agreement.

2. External Marketing - This position will be responsible for handling the overall external marketing and social media plan for the business. This includes all media buying and placement. This position will interface with the ticket sales team to identify nights with available tickets and create promotions and marketing campaigns to sell out those games.

3. Game Presentation – This position will be responsible for managing all game day experiences including on-field presentation, music, video board management, giveaways and other pieces as required.

4. Reading Program – This position will be responsible for oversight and management of the Lil’ Fish Reading Program. This will include recruiting and identifying new schools to participate as well as the execution and fulfillment of the program.

5. Merchandise - this position will assist the BTSE Director of Merchandise in managing the team store throughout the year. This will include inventory management, part-time staff management, fulfilling online orders and providing top notch customer service.

6. Additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by ownership or the General Manager.
Required Skills:
·       Minimum of Bachelor Degree in marketing, sport management, communications or similar field
·       2-4 years of experience in the sports industry preferred
·       Maintain positive relationships with clients and attend various community events on behalf of the Kingfish while exuding a friendly, outgoing demeanor   
·       Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
·       Basic knowledge of Adobe products 
·       Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
·       Ability to work all 2020 Kenosha home games along with special events
·       Ability to take direction and work independently
·       Ability to time manage and work on several projects at once
·       Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
