Group Sales Coordinator Job Description

Group Sales Coordinator Overview:

The Group Sales Coordinator is an introductory sales position. This position is designed to provide valuable experience as well as train and develop skills related to phone sales, account management, lead cultivation, CRM databases, customer service, and more. The goal is to give the employee the knowledge and skills for advancement in the sports industry.

General Duties:

· Have fun!

· Learn and embrace the Spokane Indians approach to Customer Service.

· Make a minimum of 225 outgoing sales phone calls each week to all school and faith groups from 2018, setting face-to-face appointments when appropriate.

· Gain new business from any other school, faith and business accounts who are not current customers.

· Learn and become an expert on Spokane Indians ticket products and work to find the right ticket solution for each fan. The Group Sales Coordinator will participate in an extensive three week training program to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills.

· Closely manage group accounts from the off-season through their outing.

· Learn the Spokane Indians CRM system (Salesforce) and how to properly maintain account records.

· Learn the TicketsWest & Paciolan sales system.

Job Requirements:

· Four-year degree by the start date above.

· Must be organized, detail oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Available for all 38 home games with the ability to work nights and weekends during the summer.

· Must have reliable transportation.

Position in the Corporate Structure:

The Group Sales Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Group Sales and work closely with other members of the Ticket Department and Indians staff.

Timeline:

The Group Sales Coordinator will start on January 7th and work through September 28th. During the month of August, the Indians conduct employee reviews and evaluations and begin to plan staffing for the next year.

Compensation:
This position includes hourly wages, commission and sales contests. There is also an opportunity to enroll in health and dental benefits and if enrolled, the Indians will pay the monthly premiums.
