Summary   This position will report to the Coordinator – Integrative Sports Performance and assist with data collections, data processing, and a variety of other duties and responsibilities as it pertains to the Medical Staff at each affiliate.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for daily organization and implementation of Integrative Sports Performance data collections. 
    • Hitting Program 
    • Pitching Program 
    • Recovery Program 
  • Assist with data collection for various Medical Programs.
  • Assist with data processing/entry.
  • Assist Athletic Trainers with rehabilitation programs as needed.
  • Assist Medical Staff with necessary preparations.
  • Assist Medical Staff with In-Season travel related tasks.
  • Assist with Amateur Scouting Events.

Qualifications
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • ATC, CSCS, or related credential(s).
  • Experience as it pertains to human performance, strength & conditioning, athletic training, nutrition, and/or physical therapy.
  • Experience in implementation of scientific research methodology/protocols.
  • Experience utilizing advanced research technologies.
 
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Computer Skills  
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    


Language Skills                                                
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, general correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
 
Mathematical Skills                                                     
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
Reasoning Ability      
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud/moderate/quiet.
 
Team travel is required and typically occurs via Bus and/or Plane.
 
Work Hours                                                     
During Spring Training and during the baseball season, this position requires 80-90 hours per week.
