Summary   
The Director – Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing all concessions for Mudcats facility. Includes managing sales points for all locations, monitoring levels of merchandise and overseeing maintenance of relative equipment. This individual is also responsible for managing the Cattails Restaurant, during game and non-gameday events.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ensure that sales points are prepared daily for all permanent stands and portable/sublet locations, as well as Vending Department
  • Ensure adequate levels of merchandise by continuous supervision of stock levels
  • Ensure concession stations are set up for every business day
  • Prepare various sales and operational reports to analyze product usage
  • Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed
  • Plan, budget and prepare new menu items
  • Maintain inventory and track loss
  • Oversee maintenance of food equipment and plan/price accordingly for new equipment
  • Oversee food and beverage needs for season stadium events
  • Pull tarp on field, as necessary
 
Supervisory Responsibilities                                         
Directly supervises seasonal Bait Shop Food and Beverage staff, including the Cattails Restaurant staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Computer Skills  
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.     
 
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Prior food and beverage experience preferred
 
Language Skills                                                 
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
 
Mathematical Skills                                                      
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
Reasoning Ability      
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, which may include heat, cold and various forms of precipitation. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 
 
Work Hours                                                      
Business hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays. Must work all home games.
