Facility Operations/Event Staff: Game Day/Event Staff

Responsible for overseeing Game Staff to set up selling program for home games and other events, as well as manage inventory, paperwork and ensuring proper guidelines are followed for compliance and licensing. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for pre-season preparation (January – March), to include inventory, purchasing, Brewers On Deck, hiring game staff and conducting orientation, , schedule preparation, etc.
  • Set up and coordinate selling program for Brewers season, Brewers on Deck in January and Opening Day
  • Serve as main point of contact for Manager – Brewers Community Foundation and Executive Director – Brewers Community Foundation as it relates to 50/50 raffle program
  • Manage inventory and purchasing of supplies, including, tickets, brochures and seller apparel among others
  • Manage required paperwork for the program
  • Attend all home games to ensure success of the program
  • Oversee money count, paperwork and deposit
  • Support game staff by answering questions regarding the program
  • Hire and train game staff throughout the year
  • Schedule and supervise staff
  • Supply reports, as requested, related to fundraising efforts and amounts
  • Follow raffle license guidelines/rules; ensure these are being complied with for all game staff

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must be available during January - November for planning and preparation for upcoming season, as well as in-season and post-season support
  • Prior experience with supervision and management of subordinates
  • Prior experience handling cash
  • Ability to interact positively with large fan base
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills are required

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise seasonal Game Day staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills  
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.    
Language Skills                                                
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills                                                     
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability      
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Hours                                                     
Hours vary according to the game and event schedule.  Candidates must be willing to work all home games, nights, weekends, day games and holidays when necessary.
