Overall Internship Description: This internship position helps in many different aspects of our Food and Beverage VIP Department, including, but not limited to luxury suites, luxury seating areas, and VIP group areas. Main contacts during the season are Maley McAfee (

This position is paid a stipend of $1,600, monthly. Ideally, this Internship begins in February and runs through September. Accommodation can be made around class schedules if deemed necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist in the operation of VIP Areas including staffing, set up, operation, accountability, and cleaning/restocking for next game/homestand/event.
· Monitor overall operation of a specific area to maximize profitability and efficiency by providing feedback to improve operations. Adjusting staffing levels, food production, and keeping customer service at high levels to ensure fan experience is also a priority.
· Help in all Food & Beverage departments as needed, including concession stands, bars, portable food carts, commissary/reporting, and Point of Sale (POS) operations.
· Help count and track inventory designated areas and increase accountability for hourly staff.
· Exposure to food preparation in kitchen areas and serving in the VIP areas, to assist with large volume requirements as needed.
· Act as a liaison between the customers, hourly staff, and full-time staff. Ability to properly communicate customer complaints, concerns, and compliments with full-time staff is important.
Skills & Abilities Required:
· A willingness to be flexible and adaptable; to jump into all places needing assistance in the Food and Beverage operation.

· Ability to multi-task through the variety of services offered to our guests- seeing the big picture.
· Exceptional teamwork with hourly and full-time staff as well as suggesting improvements in our operations.
· Ability to work independently- being a self-starter is a MUST.
· Ability to meet deadlines- be accountable and hold hourly staff to high standards.
· Willingness to work long hours, for multiple days in a row.
· General knowledge of food safety and customer service.
· Positivity and upbeat attitude towards both seasonal workers and full-time staff.
· Ability to take constructive criticism and willingness to learn from mistakes.
. Serve Safe certification & Indiana State Liquor License is a plus.
