Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
The Director, Partnerships Strategy is responsible for managing the Miami Marlins existing partnership base by cultivating relationships, developing innovative marketing strategies, and growing each account through up-sells and renewals. Ideal candidates should have a background in sports partnerships account management, marketing solutions, partnership sales and relationship development.

This is a full-time position and is based in sunny Miami, Florida

Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee all partnership activation plans and ensure partner satisfaction 
  • Leverage partnership base to drive organizational goals – revenue (partnerships and sales), being an innovative brand, increase brand awareness through partner integrations, and be more active in the South Florida community 
  • Renew and upsell current partners by identifying and creating sponsorship programs
  • Negotiate and prepare contract terms of partnerships with input from finance and legal team members
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leaders to identify, drive and execute partnership programs and integrated campaigns; implement development strategies to continually engage partners in the Marlins business
  • Achieve sponsorship sales revenue goals as assigned and maximize the sale of fully integrated sponsorships in all major categories; contribute to and achieve corporate and department management objectives 

Required Experience & Skills
This position requires an experienced professional that aligns with organization’s values of passionate, innovative, driven, respectful, inclusive and accountable along with the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on business management, sports management, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a partnership management and/or sponsorship sale; sports and entertainment industry preferred
  • Proven track record of overachieving sales targets and quotas in a competitive sales environment
  • Experience generating and developing sales and marketing plans, promotion campaigns/programs, presentations and proposals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate, influence and cultivate relationships within a multitude of business environments including sports and entertainment, corporate, non-profit, education, government and community. 
  • Demonstrated business acumen, analytical and operational skills; Exceptional oral and written communication skills
