Facility Operations/Event Staff: Parking Operations

This position reports to the Financial Operations Manager, Manager of Security, and Senior Director of Ballpark Operations. The Parking Cashier Assistant Supervisor assists with the oversight of the parking vault operations and assures that all company funds are properly accounted for on a daily basis by counting, reconciling and depositing the days’ cash in accordance with company policy. This position will also perform administrative support related to cashiers and cash controls. The Parking Cashier Assistant Supervisor also must embrace the Angel Baseball philosophy of providing outstanding service to all the guests that enter Angel Stadium. 

  • Work directly with Assistant Parking Cashier Supervisor Counterparts, Finance department and Ballpark Operations staff of Angels Baseball
  • Assist Supervisor Counterparts with managing the daily activities of all parking operations including:
  • Supervision of all part-time Captains and Cashiers, modeling Angels Baseball Guest and Employee Service standards through professionalism and mentorship.
  • Motivate staff and maintain positive employee morale through the use of positive reinforcement and employee recognition
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Manage and reconcile the cash vault and ensure adequate cash is available for events
  • Maintain inventory of parking ticket stock
  • Prepare individual cashier banks and parking ticket stock for each event
  • Issue cash banks and parking tickets to all cashiers assigned each day
  • Perform a cash audit of cashier(s) during each event
  • Balance all cashier’s cash, tickets returned and record all information on the Cashier Daily Report
  • Identify and investigate cash discrepancies and discuss with Finance and cashiers
  • Calculate daily event revenue and reconcile to cash collected
  • Prepare event deposits and replenish change funds
  • Prepare event revenue reports and submit to the Finance department after each event
  • Assist with employee scheduling when necessary
  • Administer the steps of progressive discipline for staff that fail to comply with Angels Baseball policies and procedures
  • Work with management to generate, execute and achieve process improvement goals
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates or bachelor degree preferred
  • Prior experience handling cash transactions required, money and balancing a cash fund experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports with accuracy
  • Ability to operate a 10-key calculator and currency counters
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge and ability to use technology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to deal diplomatically with the public, fellow employees and supervisors
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a fast-paced work environment

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand continuously for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally sit, walk, bend/twist neck and bend/twist waist
  • Ability to continuously use both hands
  • Ability to occasionally reach above/below shoulder height
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lb
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Due to the nature of the industry, the hours vary based on business needs so it is crucial that candidates are able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
