Facility Operations/Event Staff: Parking Operations

This position reports to the Financial Operations Manager and Ballpark Operations. The Parking Cashier Supervisor works collectively with other parking supervisors to oversee Parking Cashier event operations including the supervision of approximately 40 part-time staff, counting, reconciling and depositing event revenue. This position will also perform administrative duties related to staff management and cash controls. The Parking Cashier Supervisor must embrace the Angel Baseball philosophy of providing outstanding service to all the guests that enter Angel Stadium. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Work directly with the Finance and Ballpark Operations departments
    • Communicate, implement and comply with management’s directives, policies and procedures 
  • Management of Parking Cashier operations, including:
    • Collaborate with the other Parking Supervisors on the daily activities, duties and staffing needs
    • Provide oversight and direction to parking staff in accordance with the Organization’s policies and procedures 
    • Motivate staff and maintain positive work environment 
    • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, objectivity, fairness and respect for fellow employees
    • Manage and reconcile the cash vault and ensure adequate cash is available for events
    • Prepare and issue individual cashier banks for each event
    • Calculate event sales and reconcile to cash and credit card sales collected
    • Identify and investigate cash discrepancies and communicate issues with the Finance Dept
    • Prepare event deposit and replenish change funds
    • Prepare event revenue reporting package and submit to the Finance department after each event
    • Assist with employee scheduling when necessary
    • Provides coaching to correct deficiencies such as administering write-ups, documenting issues and providing feedback 
    • Work cohesively and communicate with the Parking Attendant Supervisors
    • Work with management to generate, execute and achieve process improvement goals
  • Must be flexible to work all events at Angel stadium including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be available 6 hours prior to event time. For example, for a 6:30pm game start, shift will start at 12:30pm
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience handling cash transactions, money and balancing a cash fund a plus
  • Supervisory experience 
  • Ability to prepare and maintain reports with accuracy
  • Basic Microsoft Excel knowledge necessary
  • Must understand basic smart phone technology including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  •  Ability to deal diplomatically with the public, fellow employees and supervisors
  • Valid driver’s license is required to operate a Company vehicle 
  • Other duties as assigned
  •  Must be able to pass background investigation screening including a credit report
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and work in inclement weather
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces (when in parking lot)
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 10 pounds
