Ticket Sales and Services: Client Retention/Customer Service

Job Summary: The Membership Retention Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, coaching and contributing to the overall growth of the ticket sales team while focusing primarily on oversight of the Membership Retention Sales team. This role will assist in developing and executing the annual season ticket retention strategic plan. It will require developing and growing your individual team members daily to both increase their sales acumen, but also their ability to be future leaders within the organization. Ideal candidate must be a detail oriented, motivated person who possesses the ability to maintain and grow an existing client base to its fullest potential. 

  • Oversee the day-to-day management and needs of the Membership Retention team
  • Meet and exceed membership retention sales goals as determined by leadership
  • Recruit, hire, and train the Membership Retention team and evaluate needs for future changes or adjustments to the team
  • Responsible for CRM campaign planning and execution in coordination with Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Ticket Ops
  • Produce email content and marketing materials for Season Ticket Members
  • Oversee and assist with numerous in-season and off-season events to drive season ticket revenue
  • Evaluate opportunities for revenue growth within the existing season ticket base. Such as new benefits, incentives, and ticket offerings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors related to the success of the Membership Retention Sales team
  • Provide managerial approvals for various service-related needs. Examples - breaking season ticket packages, refunds and changing account holder information

  • Minimum of three years of successful sales experience in sports, media, and/or direct sales is required
  • Prior retention sales experience or management of a sports sales team preferred
  • Experience selling to and working with a season ticket base including corporations and individuals preferred
  • Passion for sales and the leading, training and development of a sales team
  • Strong time management skills, excellent oral communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handles multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products, experience with Tickets.com and Microsoft Dynamics a plus
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends coinciding with the Royals season schedule and client events. Must be able to guide and show potential customers various seating options and facilities around the stadium as well
  • Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance
  • Professional image and demeanor
