Job Summary:

The Manager, Corporate and Radio Affiliate Partnerships will be responsible for growing revenue through corporate partnership sales and provide leadership and oversight for the Royals Radio Network affiliates. An emphasis will be placed on growing radio revenue through advertising sales and managing the relationships and the budget for the Royals Radio Network affiliates. This position will also be responsible for developing strategies with the radio affiliates regarding promotions, securing radio network coverage and marketing partnerships to increase audience, and driver out-market ticket sales. Additional responsibilities include preparation of annual radio network budget and the regular budget forecasting for the network and out-market marketing strategy. Also responsible for the development of targeted strategies for the primary feeder markets with the goal of increasing ticket sales.

Accountabilities: 
  • Increase revenue through corporate partnership sales with an emphasis on radio revenue generation
  • Work to renew radio affiliate agreements as well as prospect for new affiliates to ensure strong network coverage through the Royal footprint
  • Preparation of annual radio network budget and the regular budget forecasting for the network and outer-market marketing strategy
  • Responsible for the development of targeted marketing strategies for the primary feeder markets with the goal of increasing ticket sales
  • Manage affiliate and marketing partner expectations while keeping Royals priorities and needs in mind
  • Maintaining existing radio affiliates
  • Work with marketing staff in effective execution of initiatives to be delivered to Affiliates and Marketing Partners as necessary
  • Develop Radio Network road presentation strategy and messaging plan; liaise internal teams to implement
  • Be responsible for planning, monitoring, and submission of budget
  • Various other projects as assigned by the Sr. Director of Corporate Partnerships and Broadcast Sales

Requirements:
  • Candidates should have a history of success in corporate partnership sales, radio affiliate relations, and ticket sales
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success
  • An ideal candidate will also have marketing experience
  • A four year college degree is required
  • A strong work ethic
  • Innovative, energetic, and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organized skills
  • Relationship-based selling approach
  • Knowledge of radio production and technical processes
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively to diverse and varied audiences including radio station owners, managers, and marketing partners
  • Prospecting and cultivating relationships with new radio affiliates and marketing partners
