The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club makes its home at First Horizon Park, a state-of-the-art downtown ballpark located on the original site of Sulpher Dell. The Sounds are the Triple - A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Our Purpose:
The Nashville Sounds exist to foster a universal passion for the great game of baseball by partnering with the Milwaukee Brewers and the city of Nashville to host Triple-A baseball games at the safe and family-friendly state-of-the-art First Horizon Park in an effort to unite a community with fun and affordable sports entertainment.
Title: Merchandise Assistant

The Position:
The Merchandise Assistant is a seasonal position and will assist in managing the Nashville Sounds Pro Shop & e-commerce platforms during the 2026 baseball season. The position will work directly with the Director of Retail to assist in designing, ordering, and fulfilling merchandise as well as managing all points of sale for our organization. This person must be a highly motivated hardworking person with a desire to learn MiLB merchandise operations. Position will start in January to the end of our 2026 season.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day Merchandise operations, receiving inventory, pricing, labeling, and stocking.
- Open and close retail location as directed by management.
- Provide excellent customer service at all Sounds games and special events in the Team Store - running a cash register, assisting fans, and restocking inventory.
- Train and manage gameday staff.
- Process and fulfill e-commerce and phone orders.
- Oversee the completion of monthly inventory checks and monitor inventory levels.
- Prepare the Nashville Sounds Pro Shop for game days by maintaining a stocked storefront and organized displays.
- Position will require to work gamedays and non-gamedays.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous Shopify, Clover and social media experience is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year of retail experience
- Must be able to work nights and weekends beyond normal business hours
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds and ability to stand for long periods of time.
