The Nashville Sounds are hiring an Event Production Manager. This is a full-time position which oversees the execution and maintenance of the audio/visual elements of First Horizon Park. This person reports to the Entertainment & Promotions Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the execution of the ballpark’s entertainment from the control room, in conjunction with the Entertainment & Promotions Manager, who oversees all on-field activities.
- Research and generate innovative and entertaining concepts and ideas related to game entertainment and ballpark atmosphere.
- Works closely with Director of Creative Services to coordinate and ensure all display boards content is delivered flawlessly.
- Collaborate with Vice President of Operations to ensure all control room equipment is functioning properly.
- Prepare and manage information for annual operating budget for the control room programs and needs.
- Hire, train, direct and lead a team of seasonal staff that includes video display operators, camera operators, and related personnel necessary to enhance the overall Sounds game entertainment.
- Collaborate with corporate partnership department, from vision to execution, with the end result of activating live, in-game, and digital content at the ballpark.
- Engages in the collaboration of creating the gameday scripts.
- Oversee the archiving of all gameday footage
- Execute A/V requirements for non-baseball special events in collaboration with special events department
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years in the production department of a sports team, college or equivalent
- A strong interest in the sports industry and an above average understanding of baseball
- A working knowledge and understanding of audio/visual equipment including Ross products (Xpression, Replay), Yamaha TF audio digital boards, and Clear Comm
- Must be well organized and can work with others
- Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding aspects of the job (standing for long hours, lifting heavy equipment)
- Candidates must be willing to dedicate 40+ hours per week, including all home games and many additional ballpark events.
- The anticipated start date is January 5, 2026.
