The Memphis Redbirds, Triple A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Memphis 901 FC, members of USL Championship, are searching for Bat Boys/Girls to assist the home and visiting clubhouse managers before, during, and after all home games at AutoZone Park. Bat Boys/Girls will work mainly night and weekend hours following the schedule of both the Redbirds and Memphis 901 FC. Job duties and hours worked are subject to change based on applicable COVID-19 restrictions throughout the season. Must be 16 or older and have proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to apply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and organize dugout prior to game including bats, helmets, coolers, etc
- Shag balls during BP
- Retrieve bats, balls and other equipment from playing field during games
- Provide umpire with game balls/water when requested
- Break down dugout, along with putting away all equipment used during game
- Cleaning shoes/cleats
- Equipment load-in/load-out
- Sideline setup & breakdown, ball retrieval during Memphis 901 FC matches
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Familiar with the rules of baseball
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as team schedules require
- Willingness to learn with a positive, can-do attitude
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
- Ability to walk/run
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
