FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is the Spring Training home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.  This two-team location is a state-of-the-art facility designed for year-round use through Spring Training games, amateur baseball, non-baseball sporting events, community events along with banquets, corporate events, weddings and more.

The primary role for this position is to generate new ticket revenue for the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals through selling season tickets, partial ticket plans, group tickets, single game luxury suites and other premium inventory.  Revenue will be generated via inbound and outbound phone calls, ballpark tours, networking and community events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Fitteam Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is the Spring Training home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.  This two-team location is a state-of-the-art facility designed for year-round use through Spring Training games, amateur baseball, non-baseball sporting events, community events along with banquets, corporate events, weddings and more.

In this role, you will be an essential part of the game experience, focused on running the VIP Box Office. Individual must be willing and able to ensure excellent customer service to every visiting fan. This position requires a friendly, outgoing personality with genuine enjoyment in interacting with and helping fans as we strive to deliver enjoyable guest experiences combined with the best entertainment value available.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with ticket operations leading up to Spring Training, including customer service, fulfilling orders, window sales, etc.
  • Manage all game day operations of the VIP Box Office
  • Coordinate team tickets with respective team staff members
  • Manage VIP Box Office staff of 2-4 on game day
  • Represent the organization at in-house ballpark events and off-site community events
  • Answer incoming customer service calls
  • Work games, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned 

Supervisory Responsibility:

Responsibilities may include hiring, training and managing a 10-20 person Box Office staff, inclusive of Ticket Sellers, Ticket Takers and Interns.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in ProVenue ticketing program
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes home games, nights, weekends and holidays as assigned
  • Proficiency in basic computer software programs
  • Consistent and punctual.
  • Bilingual is a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to travel around West Palm Beach and surrounding areas.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision.
  • Majority of time spent in indoor, climate-controlled office environment.
  • This position requires walking long distances and standing for long periods of time in a stadium environment.
  • Requires ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Compensation

The Box Office Supervisor will be compensated $12.50 per hour.

Location & Timeline:

  • This is an hourly, seasonal position intended to last November through the end of Spring Training (late March).
  • This position is in West Palm Beach, Florida.
