Led by Chuck Greenberg, one of the sports industry's most well-respected owners and operators, Greenberg Sports Group manages the operations of three highly-successful and award-winning affiliated Minor League Baseball franchises. Those franchises are the Frisco (Tx.) RoughRiders (Double-A/Texas League), Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Pelicans (Advanced-A/Carolina League) and State College (Pa.) Spikes (Short-A/New York-Penn League).

Greenberg is the former Managing Partner & CEO of the Texas Rangers, a role he assumed in 2010 after his group of investors (Rangers Baseball Express, LLC), which included Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, acquired the Major League Baseball franchise from Tom Hicks and Hicks Sports Group.

Chuck's prior accomplishments are highlighted by serving as Chairman and Managing Partner of the Double-A Eastern League's Altoona (Pa.) Curve from 2002 to 2008 and representing Mario Lemieux and renowned businessman Ron Burkle in landing ownership of the bankrupt Pittsburgh Penguins in 1999. He again represented the Penguins in 2007 on successful negotiations to build the state-of-the-art Consol Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh and secure the franchise's future in the city for at least another 30 years.

The State College Spikes, the Class-A Short-Season affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, are currently searching for enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and hard-working Production Associates for the 2018 baseball season. These internship-level positions will assist in planning, producing and executing all elements of “The Show” for all Penn State University and State College Spikes baseball games held at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Job Description:
Each associate will work with the Director of In-Game Entertainment & Promotions and the Production Assistant to assist in the day-to-day production duties for PSU college baseball, the State College Spikes professional baseball franchise, the New York-Penn League All-Star Game, and other events held at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.  Responsibilities include organizing, planning, and executing all game-day events and fulfilling all game-day production needs.  Associates will also work hand-in-hand with the front office to learn various aspects of professional sports, including promotions, community relations, marketing and other disciplines. Associates will fill the roles of Director, Technical Director, Camera Operator, Graphics Operator, Replay Operator and More.

Skills Needed:
Candidates must be enthusiastic about working in sports and have an understanding of baseball.  Previous working knowledge of audio/visual equipment and production software is a plus.  Must be well organized and able to work as part of a team.
Specific Expectations:
Associates will be required to commit to working all Penn State home baseball games from March to mid-May and all Spikes home games from June until mid-September.  During both the Penn State season and Spikes season, hours will be more demanding and associates should be able to assist in all game-day operations, as well as pre-production needs on non-game days.
Associates will be compensated during Penn State and Spikes games.
