Led by Chuck Greenberg, one of the sports industry's most well-respected owners and operators, Greenberg Sports Group manages the operations of three highly successful and award-winning franchises within Major League Baseball’s player development system. Those franchises are the Frisco (Tx.) RoughRiders (Double-A Central – Texas Rangers), Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Pelicans (Low-A East – Chicago Cubs) and State College (Pa.) Spikes (MLB Draft League).

Greenberg is the former Managing Partner & CEO of the Texas Rangers, a role he assumed in 2010 after his group of investors (Rangers Baseball Express, LLC), which included Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, acquired the Major League Baseball franchise from Tom Hicks and Hicks Sports Group.

Chuck's prior accomplishments are highlighted by serving as Chairman and Managing Partner of the Double-A Eastern League's Altoona (Pa.) Curve from 2002 to 2008 and representing Mario Lemieux and renowned businessman Ron Burkle in landing ownership of the bankrupt Pittsburgh Penguins in 1999. He again represented the Penguins in 2007 on successful negotiations to build the state-of-the-art Consol Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh and secure the franchise's future in the city for at least another 30 years.

Position Title:            Director of Ticket Sales (Full-Time)

Since 2006, the State College Spikes have been providing fun, affordable family entertainment and the future of baseball to residents of State College, Centre County, and the entire Happy Valley region in the center of Pennsylvania. The Spikes’ home, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, is in the shadow of Beaver Stadium on the campus of Penn State University. In addition, the Spikes are a charter member of the MLB Draft League, providing the first step towards the major leagues for prospects from across the nation.

 Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to expand the team’s customer base.
 Develop and implement a strategy to maximize group sales performance and revenue.
 Exceed goals for Season Tickets, Groups, and premium seating.
 Hire, train, and develop sales staff.
 Facilitate the day-to-day sales efforts of the State College Spikes Ticket Sales department.
 Support all functions of the ticket sales department including lead generation, e-marketing campaigns
and general department strategic organization.
 Motivate and lead each staff member within the Ticket Sales department.
 Assist staff on appointments and phone calls, as necessary.
 Provide sales tracking reports on a daily and weekly basis.
 Execute a terrific renewal strategy for groups, seasons, and premium areas.
 Contribute strong contracted sales figures through aggressive, year-round sales of State College
Spikes and PSU Baseball Season Suites, Season Tickets, Value Plans, Suite Rentals, Groups, All-
You-Can-Eat Picnics, and Birthday/Pizza Parties in a targeted region utilizing cold calling, face-to-
face appointments, and creative lead development.
 Attend networking events in the community and require sales staff to be active networking.
 Understand industry- and community-specific landscapes & trends. Enact plans accordingly to
positively capitalize on current trends.

 Proven sales and sales management experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
 Proven ability to enact and manage a sales process.
 Looking for a leader who is sales-oriented, hard-working, self-motivated, aggressive, detail-oriented,
and talented to work within and grow our team.
 Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, computer, project management, and
inter-personal skills necessary.
 Must be willing to work holidays and weekends as required.
