We are the Advanced-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs and are located less than a mile from the beautiful white sand beaches that stretch for 100+ miles along the Grand Strand. Myrtle Beach hosts 18,000,000+ visitors annually and the destination consistently ranks among the best in the country. The Pelicans are in their 20th year in Myrtle Beach and play at the beautiful TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark.

We've all heard the saying, practice makes perfect. With the Pelicans we believe that perfect practice makes perfect. You'll be training, training and training some more to become the best ticket sales person that you can be. When you're done training, we'll go ahead and keep training to keep you sharp. You'll be coached and trained by leaders in the sports industry, joining a ticket sales process that's been proven to be successful.

What you will be doing:

As a Sports Tourism & Community Engagement Sales Representative your main responsibility will be selling tickets. That's priority numbers 1, 2 and 3. You'll be doing this through cold calling and data basing to grow your leads. Your main focus will be assisting in the sales efforts for sports organizations traveling to Myrtle Beach, assisting community partnerships with fundraisers and engaging with local non-profits along with other events held along the Grand Strand. You'll also be responsible for servicing clients and helping to hit team goals.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Excel in a fast-paced, fun sales environment utilizing the Greenberg Sports Group sales method to accomplish client goals.
Help in leading the sales efforts for sports organizations traveling to Myrtle Beach.
Help in leading the sales efforts for community partnerships.
Aggressive sales of Myrtle Beach Pelicans season, mini-plan, and flex-plan memberships, groups, fundraisers, and suites utilizing cold calling, face-to-face appointments, and creative lead development.
Provide 110% customer service and follow up for each account including activation of client results plans.
Must be willing to work evening hours when necessary.
Maximize each opportunity to expand the Pelicans brand and build community good will.
Start / Position: On January 8th through the completion of the 2018 season.
Compensation: * $500 per month * 10% sales commission on all advanced paid ticket sales.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Looking for a leader who is sales-oriented, hard working, self-motivated, aggressive, detail-oriented, and talented to work within and grow our sales team.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, computer, project management, and inter-personal skills necessary.
Sales experience preferred but not required
