Led by Chuck Greenberg, one of the sports industry's most well-respected owners and operators, Greenberg Sports Group manages the operations of three highly-successful and award-winning affiliated Minor League Baseball franchises. Those franchises are the Frisco (Tx.) RoughRiders (Double-A/Texas League), Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Pelicans (Advanced-A/Carolina League) and State College (Pa.) Spikes (Short-A/New York-Penn League).

Greenberg is the former Managing Partner & CEO of the Texas Rangers, a role he assumed in 2010 after his group of investors (Rangers Baseball Express, LLC), which included Baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, acquired the Major League Baseball franchise from Tom Hicks and Hicks Sports Group.

Chuck's prior accomplishments are highlighted by serving as Chairman and Managing Partner of the Double-A Eastern League's Altoona (Pa.) Curve from 2002 to 2008 and representing Mario Lemieux and renowned businessman Ron Burkle in landing ownership of the bankrupt Pittsburgh Penguins in 1999. He again represented the Penguins in 2007 on successful negotiations to build the state-of-the-art Consol Energy Center in downtown Pittsburgh and secure the franchise's future in the city for at least another 30 years.

Are you interested in working in Sports Entertainment?  Do you have a fun, energetic, outgoing, and dynamic personality? Are you a dedicated and responsible individual? If you've answered yes to these questions, we've got the position for you. 
The Frisco RoughRiders are searching for strong performers to fulfill the part-time roles of the Riders’ Mascot team for Non-Game Days/ Off-Season Events.  Various availability during the day, evening and weekend hours is necessary.
 
Position Overview: 
The Riders Mascot team is a co-ed interactive group that represents the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A Affiliate for the Texas Rangers, at all home games and events throughout the community including charity and promotional events.
 
Mascot Performer Information:
  • Deuce is our male prairie dog and an original mascot from 2003.  Performers need to be 5'10 - 6'0" tall.  Deuce is confident, mischievous and a little goofy at times.
  • Daisy is Deuce’s cousin. Performers need to be 5'6" - 5'9" tall. Daisy is sweet and adorable.
  • Bull Moose is a newer character for the RR Brand.  Performers should be at least 5’10” tall. Bull Moose is known for being fit, very cool and a great dancer, but he’s also very sweet and charming.
  • Ted E Bear is a newer character for the RR Brand. Performers should be no taller than 5’2” - 5’5”. He is cute and cuddly, while carrying male mannerisms.

 Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of RoughRiders Baseball.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from Dr Pepper Ballpark.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for the RoughRiders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Needs a hands-on, positive energy, great sense of humor and outgoing attitude.
  • Enjoys interaction with fans of all ages, must be at ease in front of a crowd.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
  • Must be able to take direction well, follow instructions and make decisions on the spot.
  • Must collaborate well in a team environment.
  • Live entertainment background a plus (cheer, dance, theater, etc...)
