This is a seasonal position. (Mid May - End August) 
Compensation: Monthly Stipend 
 
The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2018 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. 
 
An accounting intern would primarily be focused on making sure our employees are being paid, our stands are set with cash on game days, and our books are balanced. 
 
Every day is different with the Boomers, but a typical day might include: 
 
 •  Processing payroll and managing employee time clock 
 •  Assisting with entering sales orders,A/P invoices and cash receipts 
 •  Assist Business Manager Todd Fulk with any accounting related tasks 
 •  Assisting with cash control during games and counting money bags after each home stand 
 •  Assisting with all other accounting duties during Boomers home games 
 •  Assist in other areas as necessary 
 
You’re a good fit if you: 
  •  Are currently attending college (or are a recent grad) and have a major/concentration in accounting 
  •  Are able to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and have 
     an understanding of appropriate business etiquette 
  •  Have strong organizational skills 
  •  Have superior oral communication, writing and editing skills 
  •  Are highly motivated with strong work ethic 
  •  Have a passion for sports and strong desire to work in a team environment 
 •  Are able to work late hours on all 48 home games 
 
Bonus Points: 
 •  If you have previous accounting experience
