This full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for providing full life cycle recruiting and staffing support for all Business Operations departments (to be inclusive of Fenway Sports Management and the Red Sox Foundation). This role will work in a highly collaborative manner with department heads to develop customized sourcing and recruiting strategies for generating a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates. Will also provide support in hiring Boston Red Sox event / gameday staff.

  • Work to develop an in-depth understanding of the functions and goals of business operations departments.
  • Develop a strategic approach to identifying, attracting, engaging, and acquiring top talent for all open and prospective positions.
  • Utilize recruiting and sourcing tools such as job boards, social media, resume databases, and search engines to identify potential candidates.
  • Leverage personal network and the networks of others within business operations departments to identify and source candidates.
  • Proactively identify and build diverse pipelines of talent. This will include cultivating diverse recruiting partnerships with HBCUs, HSIs, and other colleges/universities, etc.
  • Plan and execute interview process, including candidate screening, pre-hire assessments, coordinating/scheduling interviews, and candidate feedback/evaluations.
  • Ensure a high touch candidate experience through thorough communication and timely feedback, as well as interviewer preparedness and effective interview format.
  • Track candidate details and progress in applicant tracking system (Lever).
  • Assist managers in making hiring recommendations and executing offer process.
  • Coordinate with HR team to ensure background checks get completed on timely basis.
  • Provide weekly summary on job status and candidate activity for all open requisitions.
  • Stay current on federal and state laws regarding employment and hiring practices.
  • Partner with MLB’s network of HR & DE&I professionals to share best practices and utilize candidate pipelines that MLB may make available.
  • Attend career fairs as appropriate to represent the Red Sox/FSM in identifying future talent.

Characteristics/ Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of proven work experience in full life cycle recruitment/talent acquisition.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • High energy personality and strong relationship building skills for building trust and credibility with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to flex between full-time, part-time and hourly positions at a variety of different levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing and generating diverse pipelines of talent.
  • In-depth experience using applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills to organize all components of recruiting searches.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a heavy recruiting load with a sense of urgency in filling roles with qualified candidates.
  • Track record of improving upon current processes, implementing new ways of doing things, and leading a culture of continuous improvement as it relates to sourcing and recruiting talent.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
