Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
ROLE
The Corporate Partnership Account Executive role is responsible for sales of corporate partnership/sponsorship, hospitality, and experiential engagements for business partners of Marquee Sports and Entertainment.  Initial projects may include golf, music, college football and/or other third party related opportunities. This position generates revenue through securing innovative new partnership opportunities dependent on relationship building, collaboration, and executing a consultative approach to meeting the needs of sponsors and customers. This full-time role is based in Chicago and may have the opportunity to relocate based on new business opportunities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Produce new Sponsorship, Hospitality,  and/or Experiential sales associated with business partners of Marquee Sports and Entertainment
  • Research, prospect and establish global sales leads and networking opportunities for corporate, agency and new business contacts
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis and discovery meetings, preparing and presenting proposals to corporate decision makers
  • Own and drive new business revenue targets by utilizing a consultative sales approach with new strategic partners
  • Negotiate key business terms, conditions and contracts with sponsors and partners
  • Collaborate with MSE colleagues in Chicago market to gain referral business from Corporate Partnerships and Premier customers
  • Produce weekly status of sales pipeline to MSE Leadership
  • May require travel up to 50% of time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • External candidates will require two or more years of corporate partnership & sponsorship sales experience
  • Provided list of references to demonstrate examples of interdepartmental collaboration, can be required for top candidates
  • Ability to work independently and strong experience with cold calls
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially with business decision makers and senior executives
  • Demonstrated strong oral, written,  presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrated innovative ability to think outside the box when it comes to new revenue streams
  • Demonstrated solutions-based selling approach and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated alignment with the core values and goals of the MSE organization
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, event days and travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Well-developed network of business owners and executives
  • Experience using market research tools such as Nielsen Sports and Scarborough
