POSITION: Manager, Business Development
DEPARTMENT: Ticket Sales (Marquee 360)
REPORTS TO: Director, Ticket Sales
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

ROLE
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for delivering on organizational revenue targets and developing sales associates on the Business Development Team.  Revenue targets consist of core Chicago Cubs and business partner products (current products include suite packages, club seats, group tickets, and Wrigley Rooftops).  This role is also responsible for establishing and executing a process-oriented approach to sales and building team-wide skills that ensure the achievement of annual revenue targets.  

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and execute sales campaigns that target core Chicago Cubs and business partner products
  • Manage lead generation and campaign strategy in collaboration with Marketing Department and Director, Ticket Sales
  • Build and execute a defined CRM sales strategy that is consistent among sales team
  • Forecast and track revenues across all core products
  • Develop a sales-centric culture that strengthens prospecting, lead generation, and cold-calling skills among sales associates 
  • Train and coach associates on best practices for managing a pipeline, upselling, renewing, securing referrals, executing sales meetings, and presenting to prospects  
  • Thorough recruitment efforts to hire top talent as needed
  • Meet or exceed all operational and revenue targets

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of three years of post-graduate sales and / or management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed revenue targets within past several years of sales  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate within a team environment
  • Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in creating and executing sales campaigns within Salesforce.com 
  • Previous experience managing a team in the sports and entertainment industry
  • Strong desire to become a sports and entertainment industry leader
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
