Position Overview
The Chicago White Sox are seeking a Minor League Technology Coordinator to oversee all video and technology operations for our Player Development department. This individual must be a detail-oriented and tech savvy team player who can produce a consistent and high-quality data/video collection. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with the ability to help guide and mentor our seasonal Player Development Affiliate Interns.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage all video and data collection processes throughout the minor leagues including spring training, instructional league and other offseason camps
· Hire, train and oversee Player Development Affiliate Interns
· Help in overall departmental progression, both in technology and processes
· Serve as resource to various baseball operations stakeholders for any video or data-related requests
· Maintain video database and execute video trading with participating teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· 2+ years of experience with BATS video program and other baseball technologies including but not limited to TrackMan, Edgertronic Cameras and HawkEye
· Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate with a variety of personnel at all levels
· Efficient time management in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Strong ability to independently troubleshoot and problem solve
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications
· Demonstrated leadership skills in a team environment
· Professional or collegiate experience working in and/or playing baseball
· Fluency in Spanish is a plus
· Proficiency in R, Python and/or SQL is a plus
Working Conditions
- Work is normally performed in the following: interior/office work environment, athletic fields, workout facility and/or in a medical care facility.
- Hours include nights, weekends and holidays
Location
· Glendale, AZ with occasional travel to minor league affiliates
