Dates: Monday, February 3rd – Mid-September 2020 (estimate)
Stipend: $1,200/month
The Wilmington Blue Rocks seek an individual who will be responsible for assisting the Web & Creative Services Manager during the 2020 season. This includes shooting, editing and producing video projects, creating graphic content for and maintaining the Blue Rocks’ official web site and social media accounts, assisting with the creation of print and web advertisements and working all 70 Blue Rocks home games in 2020. The candidate will also have the opportunity to create content for and run LED displays for non-Blue Rocks games hosted at the stadium.
This entry-level seasonal position will provide hands-on experience in graphic design, video production, web design and in-game entertainment. The candidate will have the ability to develop graphic content (for website, social media and game day use) and to shoot, edit and produce team videos. He or she will be expected to assist in and taken ownership of a wide variety of graphics and video projects. The assistant will also add, edit, maintain and remove web site content through HTML code, organize, edit & maintain team headshots, and assist with in-stadium sound. He or she will also work as part of the Marketing Department by assisting with theme night plans for the season and complete a group sales initiative with all other seasonal assistants.
  • Have knowledge & experience in video editing / production through Adobe Premiere
  • Have knowledge & experience in graphic design through Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Have an in-dept understanding and knowledge of social media platforms & the latest trends 
  • Be detail-oriented & handle several projects at once
  • Have a positive, upbeat attitude
  • Be highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Have strong communication and organization skills
  • A basic knowledge & experience in motion graphics using After Effects
  • A basic knowledge of audio production
  •  A basic knowledge of HTML formatting
The ability to complete projects independently and creativity are extremely important for this position, as well as the ability to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate is also a "creative thinker", who can take initiative and develop their own creative ideas for new or existing projects.
This is an entry-level, seasonal full-time, paid Web & Creative Services Assistant position that runs from February until end of season. Candidate is expected to work normal business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus all Blue Rocks home games in 2020. College juniors and seniors are permitted to apply, but only if college courses do not interfere with required hours of the position. A portfolio and/or reel should accompany all applications.
