Currently, 7th Inning Stretch owns and operates the Stockton Ports, Single-A Affiliate of the Oakland A’s, the Delmarva Shorebirds, Single-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and the Everett AquaSox, Single-A Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.. Job Title:  Director of Marketing
 
Reports to: Assistant General Manager and General Manager
 
Start Date:  ASAP
 
Position Summary: This individual will play a vital role in the success of the Stockton Ports Corporate Sales and Marketing Departments. This person will initiate and oversee all marketing of the team including internal and external and external efforts. This person will also be responsible for direct sales efforts, generating revenue through selling sponsorship and ticket inventory.
 
Responsibilities:
•         Generate revenue through the sale of corporate partnership packages via cold calls and/or face to face meetings. 
•         Oversee all Ports marketing efforts, internal and external, including the oversight and utilization of stated marketing budget. Oversee execution of the Ports social media channels, website and e-mail platform. Complete marketing and promotional ROI reports.
•         Prospecting new sponsorship leads.
•         Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients.
•         Develop relationships with current clients for referral leads.
·         Work with ticket sales and ticket operations to grow database, identify data insights, improve email hygiene, and increase conversion efficiency.


·         Responsible for developing and implementation of digital and social marketing strategies to increase engagement, promote community, execute partnership elements, and drive ticket sales.

•         Maintain positive relationships with local media outlets in order to maximize coverage of the team. 
•         Assist with game day magazine production with input and assistance from other assigned staff.
•         Assist General Manager with client service needs including post-season proof of performance reports. 
•         Oversee the Ports in-season marketing team
•         Help develop creative ways to strengthen the game presentation during Ports home games
•         Other duties as assigned.
·         Physical Requirements: Extended hours of work between the months of March to September. Candidate must have the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
 
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree is required
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills, energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to take initiative
• Two plus years of significant experience directly related to marketing
• Minimum 1 year of Corporate Sales Experience
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives
• Always demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule (evenings and weekends)
