The Modesto Nuts are seeking a Stadium Operations Manager to oversee all ballpark maintenance at John Thurman Field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ operations experience as well as hiring & training staff. 
 
Modesto California has harbored affiliated baseball since 1946, partnering with 11 different organizations including the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Athletics & Colorado Rockies. In 2016, the Nuts signed a new partnership with the Seattle Mariners. They are now their High-A Affiliate in the California League. The Modesto franchise has played in the historic John Thurman Field since 1955 updating the stadium in 1997 & 2008. Additional accolades include winning California League Organization of the year in back to back seasons in 2010 & 2011 as well as 5 consecutive attendance records from 2007-2011

The Modesto Nuts Stadium Operations Manager will need to display a tremendous passion for the sports industry & the Modesto market. Our organization is 100% committed to finding individuals that are active students of their craft and have an internal need for constant learning & new idea generation. The ideal candidate will meet & exceed the following responsibilities & qualifications;
 
 
General Position Responsibilities
• Serve as leader and primary company agent in the maintenance, appearance and cleanliness of John Thurman Field.
• Up-to-date knowledge of all necessary protocols pertaining to COVID-19. 
• Direct, oversee and guide the stadium operations staff which includes but is not limited to;
o    Stadium Cleanup Crew
o    Game Day Staff including- parking attendants, ushers & games area.
• Oversee and maximize stadium operations budget which includes but is not limited to;
o    Stadium Supplies
o    Operations Labor
• Ability to develop systems and processes for the most efficient use of resources.
• Ability to create plans to proactively prevent theft. 
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and IT.
• Complete understanding of California Labor Laws and safety regulations.
• Commitment to providing the best fan experience imaginable at John Thurman Field
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to work extended hours while on feet in adverse conditions (primarily heat).
 
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
• At least one (1) year of management experience
 • BA or BS college degree preferred
