Description:
The Oakland Athletics are currently seeking a seasonal Membership Services Intern. This position will report directly to the Membership Services Manager and will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the answering and monitoring of the Season Ticket Member hotline to assist Member purchases and related fan inquiries.
  • Providing excellent customer service to Season Ticket Members and fans on game day in the Ticket Services and Box Offices, using problem solving skills and optimizing fan experience.
  • Learning, maintaining proficiency, and relaying usage of A’s online ticket management tools and Season Ticket Member benefits to maximize retention of current fan base.
  • Working closely with Membership Services Team to maintain accurate Season Ticket account information and ticket event creation and maintenance.
  • Learning and becoming involved in the timely and accurate processing of new Season Ticket Memberships.
  • Supporting and servicing group and individual ticket purchasers for the Oakland A’s.
  • Assisting/spearheading special projects and reports as needed.
  • Providing overall Ticket Operations and Ticket Services assistance as needed on game day and non-game day
  • Planning and executing unique Season Ticket Member experiences throughout the season.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in college or have graduated within the past 12 months
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous customer service experience, especially phone experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Candidates must be enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and desire to work and advance in sports
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
