Administration/General Management: Administrative/Executive Assistant
Description:
The Administrative Assistant will directly support the Risk Management and Tax departments, with other general office support for the Finance and Accounting departments located in the New York Yankees’ Tampa, Florida facility.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Director, Risk Management and Director, Tax and other office staff as needed
  • Obtain, review, prepare and track all departmental invoices for Director, Risk Management’s review and approval 
  • Report claims for all lines of insurance, with a heavy focus on Workers’ Compensation claim reporting and file set-up
  • Compile OSHA logs throughout the year
  • Support Major and Minor League Medical Athletic Training Staff with medical billing coordination and claims 
  • Support Player Development in administration of the Minor League Health Insurance program  
  • Manage the Auto Insurance program, adding / deleting vehicles as needed, distributing Auto ID cards annually
  • Review Certificates of Insurance for accuracy as compared to contract requirements, maintain Certificate of Insurance files 
  • Support Director, Tax with basic data entry, rollover of prior year data, and maintenance of fixed asset lists 
  • Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned  
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • Prior insurance experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
  • Experience in maintaining electronic / paperless files  
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
