The Charleston Dirty Birds are Charleston’s hometown baseball team, bringing fans together with unforgettable experiences on and off the field. A big part of that fun is our Team Store, where fans find everything from jerseys and hats to unique Dirty Birds merch. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Sales Associate to help us deliver great customer service and keep our shop running smoothly during our extremely popular holiday light event, the Salango Law Dirty Birds Light the Night presented by GoMart! Light the Night is the largest holiday show in West Virginia, attracting thousands of visitors from across the state and country.

The Sales Associate will provide outstanding customer service in the Dirty Birds Team Store, ensuring visitors enjoy a welcoming shopping experience. This role involves assisting and greeting guests with purchases, maintaining merchandise displays, processing transactions, fulfilling online orders, and ensuring the store is organized, clean, and stocked. Ideal candidates are outgoing, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, game-day atmosphere.

·  Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.

·  Fulfill online orders by gathering items, packaging them, and shipping them.

·  Operate the point-of-sale system, handle transactions, and ensure accuracy at the register.

·  Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing merchandise displays and store.

·  Restock shelves and assist with inventory counts before and after events.

·  Answer questions about merchandise, promotions, and store policies.

·  Assist with setting up and breaking down the Team Store on event days.

·  Support other retail functions as needed, including running portable stands/kiosks inside the ballpark.

·  Other duties as assigned by the Merchandise Manager

·  Prior retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required.

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·  Comfortable operating POS systems.

·  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

·  Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·  Positive attitude and passion for baseball, sports, and fan engagement.

·  Adhere to CPBC Policies and Procedures

·  Represent the Charleston Dirty Birds in a professional manner both inside and outside of the organization

·  Perform duties as workload necessitates

·  Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload

·  Be respectful to colleagues and function in a team environment
