The Long Island Ducks are accepting resumes for their promotions/marketing internship position for the 2018 season. The position would begin right away and last through September, or the end of the baseball season.  This is an internship that will include extensive training for the benefit of the intern and will work under close supervision of the department head. While not entitled to wages, the successful candidate will receive an $800 monthly stipend.    
This is an excellent opportunity for a college student or graduate who wants to get into the sports industry. College or graduate course credit is available. The Ducks are looking for an aggressive personality to handle multiple responsibilities. You will learn all aspects of running a professional franchise, such as: sales, marketing, operations, ticketing, customer service, and more. Your main training will take place in coordination/execution of all game day promotions, scoreboard displays, Kids clinics, street team events, Mascot Day, heavy customer service/fan interaction, sales and much more. Excellent communication, sales, computer graphic, organizational and customer service skills are required. We are looking for a 'work-a-holic' who isn't afraid to work long hours and get their hands dirty. The focus of the internship is on learning, with the expectation that at the conclusion of the season, the intern will understand what it takes to be capable of running a department of like size and scope in the sports industry.
