HANK AARON FELLOWSHIP
Presented by Truist
ABOUT HANK AARON
Most notably recognized as the Home Run King, Henry “Hank” Aaron broke the most hallowed record in sports in 1974 on his way to a career 755 home runs. As a player, he had many on-field accolades, but he also had an immense impact off-the-field as a business executive, entrepreneur, and advocate for racial equity and social justice.
To honor Hank Aaron’s legacy, we welcome an aspiring sports business professional as a Henry Aaron Fellow to experience a variety of front office operations, including playing an integral part in the planning of our annual Hank Aaron Week initiatives.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Hank Aaron Fellow will have the opportunity to meet with the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Talent Management to gain insight into organizational strategy and leadership development. Through rotations across departments which will include Marketing and Community Affairs, the Fellow will gain hands-on experience in day-to-day operations while developing a comprehensive understanding of the organization. In addition to departmental rotations, the Fellow will receive executive mentorship and leadership development designed to build the skills and perspective necessary to lead and operate within a Major League sports franchise.
The Fellow will rotate through departments during the experience as well as assist on a project solving a current business need alongside an executive. While in each rotation, the Fellow will work directly with leaders within that department on a variety of projects and ongoing initiatives, contributing to the overall success of each team.
