Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Business-to-Business Sales

Responsibilities
  • Member of Spectra business development team, working with Spectra Venue Management, Food Services & Hospitality, and Partnerships sales teams to secure new clients and retain current clients
  • Manage and execute RFP Response processes from start to finish. This process includes writing, researching, editing, and producing customized, compelling, and technically compliant Response documents within set deadlines; overseeing and incorporating contributions from Spectra corporate and on-site staff as well as consultants when appropriate
  • Manage and execute on-site presentation processes from start to finish, including developing customized PowerPoints and coordinating travel and operational specifics as it pertains to the presentation; occasionally travel as part of the presentation team
  • Conduct research as needed to maintain and update databases and files:
    • Facility management, food services, partnerships sales industries
    • Competitive companies
    • New venues/venues with contracts expiring in the near future
    • Compile information on existing Spectra clients to maintain up-to-date sales materials
  • Participate in and oversee various general business development and marketing projects including maintaining, updating, and managing sales materials including website, venue profiles case studies, company brochures, and similar items
  • Provide administrative support to managed projects, including scheduling conference calls and meetings and coordinating travel
  • Participate in miscellaneous projects pertaining to business development for Spectra
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or other related field preferred
  • 1-3 years’ experience preparing proposals and PowerPoint presentations or other industry-specific experience preferred
  • Must have a thorough understanding of grammar and strong copywriting/editing skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to successfully balance and oversee several high priority projects at one time
  • Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Available to work occasional nights and weekends, when necessary
  • Ability to travel for presentations, when necessary
  • High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and internet research
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred
