To develop, implement, oversee and manage sales and marketing team and lead all sales efforts for the Navy Pier East. Ensure maximum revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities are achieved to reach annually assigned goals. Responsible for the daily sales efforts for the overall positioning of the Navy Pier East, brand communication and the development of customers and accounts for the success of this business unit to include, conventions, trade shows, special events, and concerts.
The DOSM should work closely with the Venue GM, Choose Chicago, the operations and events staff, the catering partnership and the Spectra leadership team to develop strategies to maximize yield, attain occupancy goals and grow market share for the Navy Pier Terminal Building and East End. The Director of Sales will be responsible for rental revenue, yield strategies, implementation, market performance and meeting budget, forecast, and optimal business mix targets. Strategies will include pricing, status, direct sales, market mix, marketing, and public relations. Candidates must have a dynamic leadership style, possessing excellent communication and decision making skills and an astute business acumen.
